Kendel Blue finds running room in a contest against Weldon in late August. The sophomore was one of three Eagles earning First-Team All Region A honors.

The Greensville County football team had a banner year in 2019, winning the Tri-Rivers District crown and advancing to the 2A Region A semifinal round before falling to eventual region champion Thomas Jefferson.

Three Greensville County football players were recognized as members of the All Region A squad. Center Kiyale Carr, wideout Zykeem Fields and running back Kendel Blue earned All-First team honors. Carr is the lone senior of the trio. Fields, a junior, and Blue, a sophomore are expected to return next fall.

Greensville County finished 8-4 overall.

Football was not the only sport that Greensville had an athlete earn All-Region A honors. Junior Kailyn Pleasants was selected to the second team in volleyball.
