Pastor Rick Ragan, left, and Layla Clements perform a Christian song for the residents at the Greensville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Pastor Rick Ragan of Forest Hill Baptist Church tuned into the hearts of Greensville Health and Rehabilitation Center members on Oct. 16.

Karin Turner, the activity director at the Greensville Health and Rehabilitation Center, said Ragan holds a music program once a month for the Center.

“The residents love him and all his church members and Peggy [a member] always sings with him. She goes to his church and some of our other employees belong to the church. It’s really nice. We have a good time,” Turner said.

Allan Little, the guitar player, celebrated his 65 birthday at the event.

“The residents enjoy it and it’s for them. I try to do everything I can to make their life better,” Turner said.

Earlier in the day Brunswick Academy brought decorated pumpkins to the Center. The Center also held a church program and Ragan helped them celebrate dessert night.

Residents that leave the Greensville Health and Rehabilitation Center are welcome to come back for events.

Greensville Health and Rehabilitation Center is located at 214 Weaver Ave., Emporia.
