On Monday at 1:37 p.m., the Emporia Police Department responded to a “Gunshots Fired” call in the 600 Block of Church St. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle and residence had been struck as a result of the gunshots being fired. Witnesses in the area reported that a gold colored Honda operated by a black male, drove by the residence and occupant(s) of the Honda started shooting at which time the victims standing in the yard started to return gunshots at the Honda. The Honda fled the scene and no one was injured. Detectives were on seen for several hours processing the scene and the investigation is ongoing with charges pending.

On Monday, at 10:13 p.m., the Emporia Police Department responded to a “Gunshots Fired” call in the 200 Block of Greensville Ave. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a vehicle and residence had been struck as a result of the gunshots being fired. Witnesses in the area reported that a vehicle drove by the residence and gunshots were fired from the vehicle. No one was injured during this incident. Detectives processed the scene and investigation is ongoing with charges pending.

On Monday at 10:13 p.m., the Emporia Police Department responded to a “Gunshots Fired” call in the 700 Block of Old Halifax Rd. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a residence had been struck as a result of the gunshots being fired. Witnesses reported that a vehicle drove by the residence and gunshots were fired from the vehicle before fleeing the area. No one was injured during this incident. Detectives processed the scene and investigation is ongoing with charges pending.
